– Advising and supporting FPAAC’s training strategy

– Coordinating and facilitating training efforts

– Producing training materials and resources

– Developing and delivering curriculum

– Assisting in planning activities under the guidance of the Planning Committee

The baseline Scope of work currently includes coordinating seven regularly scheduled trainings annually.

The annual training plan comprises (at a minimum) one Awareness Level Training, one Operations Level Training, four quarterly Technician Level Trainings and one Command Level Training. This position is responsible for planning and delivering curriculum for each of these training sessions.

In addition, the Training Coordinator may be asked to support ad hoc training requests to broaden the reach and effectiveness of our preparedness trainings across the region.

We welcome interest from individuals or entities with relevant experience and local knowledge in the marine environment particularly within the region of the Lower Columbia River, salvage and marine firefighting, emergency response, or related fields.
