MFSA is excited to officially announce a new professional partnership with Jim Merten who will be stepping into the role of Training Coordinator for FPAAC.
In this independent contractor capacity, Jim Merten will lend his regional knowledge and maritime expertise to curriculum development and training planning, while continuing the ongoing collaboration between participating FPAAC agencies.
This new relationship marks an important step forward for MFSA and the FPAAC program. A primary initial focus for Jim Merten and the Merten Group LLC will be a substantial review of our existing training practices. This comprehensive evaluation aligns with our ongoing commitment to the continuous improvement of FPAAC’s preparedness training program.
Jim’s first involvement will be in leading FPAAC’s 2nd Quarter Technician Level Training to be held at MERTS Campus in Astoria on May 14.
